The cars

The Girls

Main story: Paul Walters - letching pics: Gareth - Extra waffle: Dinks (and dodgy comments under the pics you know)

Mental Motors friend, Ashly corrupting dodgy small green person.

Mental Motors is known for its ability to cover the best car events of the year, and again we managed to coerce someone into going for us and forcing themselves to take lots of pictures of the girls, erm cars.. obviously... not girls really... ok.. yes...

Anyway former "Mad As Fcuk" Mondeo owner Paul, went down for us.. oooeeer missus and enjoyed himself far too much by not getting into the pictures with the ladies at every possible opportunity... yeah you're right that's bulls**t , as you'll see by the pictures!  We always take our job very seriously!

I'll let Paul continue the letching, I mean story!

We Weston for the NEC max live 2003 exhibition at 07. 30hrs,  Traffic was light so decided to give my evo7 a little boost, while doing so some young lads in a rover /Saab/fiesta rs/clio wanted to play also, don’t they always? We hit a steady 140mph just to give them a drool and then took it up to the 160mph mark letting them all know what an evo was like against their kev’d up cars. …who’s ya daddy? Wanna play then get a real car .. Tee hee!

When arriving at the NEC 08.30 109miles later, you could already see the mass build up of the visitors who were all here to see what’s hot and what’s not. after cramming into a tight space (hmmm don’t we just love that!) and paying six quid for the privilege, we made our way onto the free shuttle bus of which should have installed cash machines on it for the 32 quid each tickets we were about to treasure for the day.

That's really gonna to hurt in the morning!

She's waiting for the pillion passenger to mount up we think? Me first!

When entering the hall you could feel the excitement in the air and the sound of bass drowning out from all angles…totty & cars everywhere.. It was like being at a Hugh Heffner’s house party.

Once in the arena the first car straight in front of me was my mates m3 bmw  in yellow/white/gold flip paint and sat on 20” alloys and body kitted right up, it also had thousands of pounds worth of fusion equipment oozing out of the leather and painted interior….what a car!! Will soon be a feature in some top mags ,so keep your eye out for this UN..

Turning to my left of the m3 there was an array of some hot metal with boot installs to die for and on an elevated platform was the  evo 7 replica off the 2fast 2furious film.

Walking up the stairs by the evo and entering the next hall  you could see the replica supra fast and furious and sat next to it was the lime green eclipse  .

oh no caught me out it was a calibra dressed right up to look like the eclipse off the first film ..Fair play ..Well it got me stumped for about 10 seconds .

Hope everyone else did not here me shout out “wicked look at that eclipse”  I changed the subject quick by shouting look at the arse on that ! Works every time..

Bloody hell I was right ! In front of me were several fine looking girls dressed in hot pants and PVC boots handing out leaflets .. (what you actually noticed the leaflets? )

Shit forget those cars for a while lets go get plastic bags full of shite leaflets and drool at those breasts…

Now the entrance fee seemed all worth while ahhhhhh ..he.he.he

I then clapped eyes on an Audi a4 of which had an Audi emblem as an exhaust tail pipe cool or what. And further on to my right was blue vw golf with a 30”sub sat were the passenger seats used to be and in the boot had 6amps to power the beast. Would have loved to hear that baby kick ass!

More women, were there any cars at all?

Paul posing, "look I'm not the slightest bit enjoying this really!"

I walked back down into the main area and could see a gorgeous Lamborghini murciélargo in silver what a beauty. A Ferrari 360 mondena…

A bright pink bmw of which reminded me never to have a pink car ever!

A pumping bass black dodge challenger .. Wings west civic type r..

A Clio 1.2 on 19”alloys.. London black cab with a mental boot install..

Ford ka on 20”spinners with a wild body kit all in grey primmer..Range rover also with spinners 22”. Gold Tvr owned by carismastyle, the silver Aston  martin vanquish, green Nissan 3000

One of the best Clio’s around with  full mural body art  absolutely stunning art work and all rapped up in a mynher body kit awesome looking motor.

The usual saxo assortment lined the centre of the hall behind the Citroen stand with their very own Citroen totty..

The main stage area along the left hand side wall had its usual show going on with tempting and teasing girls strutting their stuff and a chance for stardom in their max babe search competition

On the right hand side of the hall was a change the wheel team effort competing and close by was the release preview of daredevil..

It was now 011.15 and was time to line up for the cruise strip, this was an area outside the hall built like a football stadium .However tarmac instead of grass  .

This was hosted by big jugs Olivia huuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm!!

The next hour was filled with burn out turns /spins and doughnuts galore with some very fine motors indeed. Must try some of that when I get back in my motor. Only kidding  officer..

Or this, just stop it Paul!

Oh yes, there were cars there too

After I walked out of the cruise strip and into the outside area I could see about 70 fine motors belonging to midlands cruisers and other driving clubs alike.

Some of these cars were well smart and personally think they should have been shown inside and take the full credit for there own modifications without the backing of big companies and sponsorship.

This is what I believe max power should be all about!!

All in all not a bad day out ..My son also left happy as he picked up a set of Lexus style lights for his Clio from one of the many traders inside the main hall.

Huge thanks for the "Insight of max live 2003" by Paul Walters
